I tried to quit blogging, but #failed. A bunch of updates and list of my failures.

HAPPY FRIDAY!

It has been nineteen days since my last post. I feel like it has been forever.

In all reality - I tried to quit blogging. I changed the URL address, the title, marked it as private, and deleted all my posts on Facebook on a stupid hunch that I was "over it". Why, you ask? Beats me! I got this RANDO idea and immediately acted on it. I tried convincing myself that it was better to be private with the details of our lives, that no one except my MOM and husband reads my blog anyways, and that it was just an absolute waste of time.

But then! I received all these messages on Facebook saying:: "DID YOU DELETE YOUR BLOG?" "WHAT HAPPENED TO ALL YOUR BLOG POSTS?" "PLEASE DON'T STOP WRITING!"  So sweet! And so endearing. And it was enough of a confidence boost to convince myself that I need to keep writing because --- I truly do enjoy it.

BACK TO NARCISSISTIC POSTS- "Read all about me, and my boring, normal life!"

Other things I have #failed at recently:
p90x3 -- Blah.
Triathlons - Ummm, yeah.
All my new years resolutions - Stupid.
Juicing - What was I thinking?
Buying all organic - Sister only makes so much money! That shit is expensive.
Training our dogs --- What's new?!

Moral of the story? Don't believe a damn thing that comes out of my mouth. I promise myself and all of you that I'm on this new "life journey" being healthy, working out, bullshit, bullshit, bullshit -- then I completely fail and embarrass myself. On another note, I find it really odd that going VEGAN was a million times easier than starting a workout regimen. I blame my competitive cheerleading years. Since I was eleven years old, I always had a coach drilling us, making us work out, and condition until we were completely exhausted and sore for days. By high school, I had a really cute six pack to show off, BUT it killed any self determination I ever had. So now, NO SIX PACK and no will to work out. I need a personal trainer, but I can't afford it. Again, what's new?

So, what has happened in the past 19 days?!

  • We celebrated Valentine's Day and our 2nd wedding anniversary

We had a "Date Night at Home" photo session with the wonderful Mandie from Amanda Red Photography. I cannot wait to see all the shots. We both got all dolled up in a suit and a formal dress, I got my hair done, we cooked at home, and the PUPPIES WERE ABSOLUTELY AWFUL. At least it painted a real picture of our lives - Matt and I fear Mandie will never work with us (or the dogs) again.

Roses for Valentines Day
Tulips for our Anniversary

 I loved them.

Lulu - not so much.

We ate at Cracker Barrel the morning of our anniversary (Pancakes and Biscuits! Mmmmmm!), then relaxed at home with the furbabies. It was my hope to take them to the dogpark, but it was TOO damn cold and I never went to get their "dog license" #anotherfail

I spent Valentine's Day morning with #LadyArwen who is just the sweetest little girl in the world. She makes me want to rescue another puppy. But then!

I remember how hard puppies are. At least, ours.

They are lucky they're so cute.

But seriously, we are so so in love. In fact, I surprise myself with how much more I love them each and every day. I cannot wait until Spring, so we can get them a fence. They will be SO happy.
AND I also cannot wait until they are neutered. Mommy and Daddy will be SO happy. Hopefully no more marking and no more humping each other. Hey, a mom can dream, right?

I think I want to have the furfamily version of the Brady Bunch. Instead of three girls and three boys, we'll have three cats and three dogs! So cute, right?! I'm willing to bet everything that Matt is shaking his head while reading this. BUT REALLY- We'd only need a fence, laminate floors, and a cleaning lady, then we'd be finnnnneee. All of which are in my long terms plans. SO WHY NOT!?

The puppies definitely need to be trained. And they definitely need their time to be the "babies" of the family. Maybe we'll add more in a couple years....

Back to training. Because of Pappy's and Wally's hatred of riding in cars, we dropped out of Madison puppy class. Luckily, we have the curriculum and can work on it at home. Have we? Um, No. #fail
But, we really plan on it! And we are going to enroll them in adult (say it isn't so!) dog classes in Edgerton. A much shorter drive and hopefully a graduation at the end of it.

Remember when I said the puppies are going to be in advanced and agility?! Shit, I'm hoping they finish BASIC OBEDIENCE.  I was such an over optimistic new puppy Mom....

Pappy is ALMOST cured from that nasty, icky mange - His (hopefully) last appointment is next Friday. Keep your paws crossed...

  • We were able to take Bubba and Shawn to the Wisconsin vs. Illinois game!
We had FABULOUS seats (like the foldy chairs that are on the actual ground in FRONT of the stands) Row DD to be exact-- in a SOLD OUT game. BADGERS WON!!!!!

Matt kept bitching because the people in the front row were offered cookies and we weren't.
"WHY COULDN'T YOU GET US THOSE SEATS, JACLYN?!"
He's so sweet.

  • This week is our "vacation week" - Or at least has been for the past two years. So, I've practically died on the inside while sitting at work for the past five days.
Two years ago, we were in Turks and Caicos and the Bahamas
Last year, we were in Vegas

And this year -- we are in the freezing cold WISCONSIN

(Isn't that a beautiful picture though?? ITS TOTALLY NOT MINE. Thanks Google).

AND we have to wait until July and August to go to Nashville, Alabama Shores, New Orleans, and New York City.
THE TORTURE !!!!!!

  • I finally got a picture of Beauty up in the house. And I love seeing her smiling face every day.

  • I've re-organized my wardrobe so I look like a homeless hippy 99% of the time.

  • We are OBSESSED with the show Dexter. Its so good! Go watch it MEOW.

  • And I recently read an article about a couple that paid off 98K in debt in less than three years. They bought this book:

(which we now own), read it, and followed all of Dave Ramsey's advise. Three years later? Debt free. How did they do it? Pretty much by doing NOTHING. Cutting all cost and being hermits for three years.

No student loans?
No mortgage?
Being able to eventually afford a cleaning lady and a personal trainer?!

We're going to do it! We'll BOTH look like homeless hippies because we won't be able to buy new clothes for two years but EVENTUALLY we will be debt, mortgage, and student loan free!
Is this another "bullshit, bullshit, bullshit" feeble vow that will end with a big, fat #FAIL ?!

Probably.
Nonetheless, I'm back to blogging. How I've missed you.

SnowBowl

I've waited all year for this day....

THE KITTEN AND PUPPY BOWLS!

I guess there is a football game on tonight, too?? Just kidding. Missy Elliot and the dancing sharks were the BEST.
For those of you who don't live in the midwest, we're in the middle of snowmageddon right now.

The puppies are loving it.

Matt and I, on the other hand.... Not so much.

Although, we have enjoyed watching people getting stuck in front of our house.

Ernie is unenthused about the SuperBowl

"Enough pictures, Mom!"

As is Pappy

And I totally think Pappy and Wally should have been in the Puppy Bowl.

Excessive Cuteness??

Lastly, I have thoroughly enjoyed being snowed in all day

Hoping they don't plow and I get a snowday tomorrow.
