1) Pappy and the stomach flu
Two weeks ago (Thursday the 5th), right after dinner, Pappy threw up his undigested food. In the next hour, he continued to throw up another fifteen times. He puked on my lap. I called the ER vet. They now know me by name. We rushed him to Dr. Gerbig on Friday morning, and learned it most likely had to do with the drywall incident earlier that week. We laid around all weekend mending Pappy's wounds. And even after days of doing nothing (and being up with a pukey dog each and every night) we were all still incredibly exhausted come Monday morning.
2) No more TV remotes
Because
We, now, have ZERO remotes that work. Thankfully, Direct TV has an app for our tablets and cell phones, so we can change channels from there.
......That is, until the pups eat those, too
3) 34 Years!
March 7th marked thirty four years for my Mom and Dad. We hosted them for a yummy vegan meal and board games, and drinks. SO fun!
Look at these studs!
4) Chelsea and Aliyah
March 7th was also Chelsea's baby shower. I learned that I am not so good at baby shower games, and that Aliyah is one loved little lady. I cannot WAIT to meet her!
5) Locked out of my own damn house
Because our pups are so freaking strong, I can only take them to go potty one at a time. Tuesday night, Matt dropped me off at home then left to run errands in Janesville. I went about our daily routine: feeding the cats, letting the dogs out of their crate, taking them outside to go potty, then feeding them. But when I went outside with Pappy, Wally got jealous (like always) and jumped on the door, trying to go outside with us. After Pappy did his business, I went back to the door to get Wally, and quickly learned that Mr. Too Smart for his own good LOCKED US OUT OF THE DAMN HOUSE. I tried breaking in (didnt work -- which is good, now looking back) then took Pappy for a 20 minute walk, until Matt got home. He pooped FOUR more times in our walk. And I didn't have a f'n bag to pick it up. DONT WORRY. I went back to pick it up. But our neighbors still hate us and our noisy pups. At least the feeling is mutual.
6) Daily Walks
Matt and I have been taking Pappy and Wally on daily hour long walks (hence, the craycray schedule). And they STILL don't get tired. The weather has been so beautiful lately, and we truly have enjoyed the time spent outside and together.
Puppies and the train
Love my boys.
Puppies downtown
Puppies in front of our church. They desperately need Jesus.
Pappy and the creek.
7) Our new couch
In September, we bought a beautiful new sectional for our front room. Now, in March - I get to buy a new cushion. DAMN DOGS. I swear, we watch them. In fact, I always make sure they're in the same room as us, and we always know what they're doing. The problem is, when we fall asleep on the couch at 9 pm and the puppies have only been out of their crate for four hours. We leave them out, while we snooze on the couch, then put them to sleep when we mosey to bed. BUT THEN, this shit happens..... Sigh. Ghetto rigged safety pins until the new cushion is delivered.
8) Zander is three!!
We love you, Z Man!
9) Bedroom makeover
The furbabies room is finally finished. And I LOVE IT.
And their four stuffed animals they they've chewed up since September
10) Poker Night
....was on Friday night. Holy Buckets! It was so much fun. And sooooooo many shots. The girls played Nintendo 64. Then we all played darts. We ate the best munchies ever - then crashed a townie baaaaaaar. Poker Nights are the best!!!
11) Neutering
The puppies' surgery is scheduled for March 31. While I am very excited (for them to not mark, hump, and/or be as aggressive), I am also a very nervous puppy mom. Say your prayers for safe recoveries.
12) Fence
Matt and I will be installing a 6ft wooden privacy fence OURSELVES to save money (so we can pay off more debt). The boys NEED a fence. Stat.
WHAT THE F ARE WE THINKING?!?! Free pizza and beer to whoever helps. .................Anyone?
13) SPRING TIME IS HERE!!!
Adios Snow!
Hello sandals!
I can't wait to plant pretty flowers in our new fenced in lawn.
FREE PIZZA AND BEER. COME ON YA'LL............
Love the puppies' room! And love that mine are so well behaved. Thank you for making me appreciate my kids more! LOL! Also, this fence thing...please please, let us come help for one day. I need Eric to see that we can indeed do this on our own, as well. Our dogs may not be large, but I would LOVE to be able to let them stay outside without having to constantly watch to make sure that George hasn't scurried off to poop in one of the neighbor's yards. Why does he think it's better to poop in someone else's yard than his own?!
ReplyDeleteYour comment about the puppies "desperately needing Jesus" made this post one of your best so far. ROFL.
