Happy Fall Ya'll!

You guys!! It is finally FALL!!!!!

The weather is a crisp 60 degrees (sweatshirt weather!!!!!!), there is football on TV, I have my pumpkin scentsy burning, pumpkin candles lit, had apple cider muffins and pumpkin coffee for breakfast, the chili is on the stove for dinner, I have apple cider and whiskey in my hand, and all the fall decorations are out!

I just can't even.

This is BY FAR the best season of the year. We are going to Edward's this weekend for apple picking, and have already made plans to go to the pumpkin patch next month.

PSL DAYS!!

But really. I don't even like even like pumpkin spice lattes.. GASP.

I know! I know! What the hell is wrong with me??
Really. Our Starbucks order looked like this.

I will always think Salted Caramel mochas are better.

Matt and I have tickets for the UW homecoming football game on Oct 17 - and I CANNOT WAIT.

I bought Ernie's  and Lulu's Halloween costumes from the dollar section at Target - and will be ordering this for the boys.

Because, really, they are a spitting image of the raptors fom Jurassic World.

In fact, here is a picture of Matt, Pappy, and Wally from the other day.

YAY for Fall decorations!!

You guys, I got most of these decorations from the Dollar Tree (a dollar each!) and I love them!

I feel like I have a million updates for you - and I also feel like I haven't blogged on "updates" in forever! So let's rewind to about a month ago.

When I visited Ashley, Carmy, Lily, Jude, and Aria before leaving for NYC.

God daughter selfie!!!

Baby heaven!!!!!!!!

And this little stud muffin.

Jude Bear, you have my heart.

Of course, I forgot to get pictures with the mommies (my favorite people ever). In NC, I don't think we got a single pic of us three either. We need to get better at that, Ashley and Carmy!

Way back on August 26th - Anne, the president of Adopt Me, introduced me to Nora's mom!! (Nora is Pappy's and Wally's sister) We exchanged photos and stories - and EEK! I am just so excited to see updates of her on FB now!!

I think she looks so much like Pappy.

Except she is 25 pounds lighter!!! (30 lbs vs. 55 lbs.)

Matt and I have come to the heartbreaking decision that we are waiting until next spring to install a fence. :( :( :(

Which means a lot of outside deck time and several walks.

We've asked Grandma Pam for a treadmill for Christmas - because you know, Cesar swears by them.
She claims she can teach them how to walk on it, and that it would help tremendously. I guess we will just have to wait and see if Grandma and Grandpa spoil them this year.

Also, we are most definitely waiting to install new flooring. Only because I want laminate throughout our entire house - and holy fuck - it's expensive. So, for now, an adorable new rug!

We spent almost every second of Labor Day weekend on our boat (while it was still warm).

My family brought up my parents' pontoon and we had a fun day filled of tubing and relaxing on the water.

Now, we just have to get the boys on the boat - so they can join in on the fun!

We borrowed these doggy life vests from Matt's parents - and they were a little too big. I think the Easter bunny may be bringing them their very own next year. Maybe??

But first! We need to get the boys used to driving in the car. Like ASAP.

We enrolled the boys in Adult Beginner classes starting on Oct 24. First of all, adult??! Say it isn't so!!!! When I called the place - I asked when their puppy classes started. She responded, "how old is your dog?"

Erm. "A year old."

"Okay. That would be adult beginnger."

Wahhhhh. Where did my babies go??

Anywho, we enrolled them at the BEST PLACE EVER - B&B Canine. Which is wear my MIL and sister in law take their dogs for training, boarding, and doggy day care. I want to start taking the boys to a place that we trust. So if HEAVEN FORBID - Sharon is not available a certain time we go on vaca, we will feel comfortable boarding them. B&B Canine is just that.

They sent my MIL daily picture text messages of her dogs while we were in Alabama.  Lori has been taking her dogs there for years. I truly trust them. And that's saying a hell of a lot - because well, you know, those boys are my babies.

The only thing ---------

It's in CALEDONIA, IL!!!!! Which isn't only 38 minutes away - but also in an ENTIRELY different STATE!!!!!!!!! and the boys HATE the car.

Our new goal is to get them adjusted to car rides by Oct 24. This will not only get them to classes (so we don't have to drop out AGAIN. Click here to read about the first time we took them to classes before they became "puppy school dropouts.") but it will also prepare them for next summer and the BOAT!

In an attempt to get the boys used to the car, we have taken them on short daily rides:
Mounds (the pet store), the gas station, etc.

Pappy has done really, really well.

Wally, not so much. :(

You guys, we've tried EVERYTHING. Thundershirts, calming aids, lots of praise, lots of treats - and nothing has helped. He is a drooling machine in the car (he never drools), and you can just tell he is so uncomfortable. IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE WE CAN DO???

Gerbig to the rescue! I will be calling the vet tomorrow for advice.

Family car pic.

Big boys at the gas station

Big boys at Mounds.

Speaking of big boys....

WE ARE OFFICIALLY POTTY TRAINED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Horray! That only took a year......

Bell training has been such a success and so helpful!

They no longer sleep in their crate at night!

And we can even leave them for a couple hours while running errands without having to crate them!!!

SUCH BIG BOYS!!!!

Pappy and Wally think that is THEIR recliner. Matt isn't too thrilled about it.

Lulu has finally warmed up to the puppies (a tad bit) to where see has stopped peeing (LIFE CHANGING) outside the box and even joins us upstairs!

Although, sometimes, she still likes to be left alone.

Wally is the pickiest eater in the world.

In order to get him to eat his breakfast/dinner: we have to mix his food with canned food, pumpkin, beef broth, yogurt, or sometimes even spoon feed him.

Eye roll.

Even at that, it takes him around 45 minutes to finish. And we have to sit there the whole time, or else he'll follow us into the other room. urgh.

Pappy scarfs his food down in less than a minute - so the remaining 44 minutes are spent holding Pappy back - and trying to convince Wally to eat his food.

Speaking of eating.

I've done some research on the whole sleep issue thing. In addition to my medicine, I've read that switching my diet and adding in vitamins could drastically help. Because of this, I will be starting a really sucky, really difficult diet after my sleep study at the end of October.

Vegan, gluten free, sugar free, alcohol free and caffeine free.

WTF!

I will also have to add in a lot of vitamin D and B12 - and take Melatonin at night.
In addition to all that fun-ness above, I will need to get on a normal bedtime routine (going to bed around 9pm at the latest) and exercise at least an hour a day. More walks with the pups.

This is going to suck. Really really bad.

I will pretty much be able to eat .... leaves.

But at this point, I'm willing to try anything.

I've gotten off to a great start. Sarcasm.

^^ All dairy products = AKA NOT VEGAN

Matt and I switched banks from Chase to Wells Fargo. By missing the time limit to switch over our direct deposit, our paychecks were sent to our closed bank account. Now we have to wait until that gets pushed back to our work, then they will physically mail us our paychecks.

So pretty much, while we're not actually poor - because we have zero access to our money - We feel broke as a joke.

At least my debit card is adorable.

This is going on right now.

I gave in, and allowed Matt to get the NFL ticket AGAIN.

All three boys are loving it.

SQUIRREL!

Throughout this entire (incredibly long) post, I have not uploaded a picture of Ernie. Mostly because he is an asshole and only comes out around dinner time -
So I've decided to include one of his best pictures - from Halloween -- two years ago.

Time for chili! Tonight, we will be watching the first scary movie of the season!

Cheers to Fall, ya'll!
