You guys!!!

Our boat is finally in the water.

It is AUGUST and about damn time.

My in laws bought a brand new boat in Jaunary of this year and agreed to sell Matt and I their old boat. We were so excited for this Summer so we could boat every weekend, but we blinked our eyes and Summer was basically over.

Along with Summer flying by, it rained a lot this year. They had to put our in laws lift on the side of the pier our boat originally was on (because of size). So we had to wait for water levels to go down in order to do that.

Confusing, I know.

But the time finally came that the new lift was put in and our lift was moved to the other side. Once we knew everything was ready, we drove down to Edgerton, met Tom (Matt's Dad) who drove up our boat, and put it in the water.

We planned on Tom reversing the truck and boat into the public launch, so Matt and I could drive the boat across the river and park it on the lift. We couldn't help but be nervous of something like this happening.......

Matt has drove the boat several times in the past. But we always had Tom in the boat to help us. So the first time was a little nerve-racking. But I'm happy to announce Matt did absolutely fabulous and we had zero issues! Yay!!

After we parked our boat, we grabbed lunch at the beloved Anchor Inn. It was packed, but we had an amazing time with Papa Fennel.

I think all of small town Edgerton was there.

Following lunch, we met up with Aunt Vicki, Uncle Stan, and Stef to ride Papa Fennel's BIG brand new boat.

Tom's boat was SO MUCH FUN and SO FAST. Like a roller coaster ride fast. There were lots and lots of laughs, lots of screams, and lots of me falling off the chair during turns and into Stef's, Vicki's, and Stan's laps. Sorry loves.

Matt even impressed us all and parked the BIG boat on the pier. Great job, darling. You amaze me everyday....

Thank you for the great memories, everyone! We are looking forward to doing it so many more times.

PS: Even though our "little" 18 ft. boat isn't as fast as Papa Fennels, I cannot wait to host all of our friends for some fun Summer days. I promise it goes fast enough.... :)

Matt, on the other hand, wants to buy one just like Tom's......
