So, last weekend Matt and I headed down to Rockford to see MY PARENTS BRAND NEW PONTOON! I swear, if you asked me 6 years ago if I liked boating, or had even been on a boat - I probably would have answered "no" - And now we have THREE in the family. Goodness. Obviously - we love boating.
So Matt's dad had the big, super duper fast speed boat.
We have little baby somewhat fast speed boat
And now my dad has a brand new, super relaxing, super big pontoon!
YAY!
Matt and I were planning on getting lunch first - then I got real HANGRY real fast and THANK HEAVENS Rockford has a Vegan restaurant - Pig Minds. It also happens to be a brewery. Which I now say is Matt's favorite place on earth. A vegan restaurant that's also a brewery...... Screams Matt!
Happy Guy.
PS: That girl in the pink behind Matt and her blonde friend KEPT STARING AT ME. I was convinced one of them were Matt's ex's because they seriously had it out for me throughout our entire lunch!!!-- but he never admitted anything. Hm..... It could have also been that I was dressed like a complete Madison hipster. You'll see later.
Vegan black bean, quinoa burger and fries. YUM!
I love my dad's smile in these pics. He's so happy and it makes my heart SO HAPPY.
^^^^ Jaclyn the Madison hipster/hippy (CAN'T MAKE UP MY MIND) wannabe and her family.
Dad's and his pontoon!!! YAY!
^ Pure happiness and giggles. Gosh, I love them.
Talking boats
Aren't my nieces and nephew ADORBS!!?!!!!
Driving Grandpa's boat!
DANCE PARTY!
Zak and Emmy were dancing to "Wiggle" -- a song that Matt and I had never heard before and this sweet little two year old kept singing"Wiggle Wiggle Wiggle"
He is so much cooler than us.
Emmy in Aunt Jaclyn's fedora.
^ Katelin, who hates getting her picture taken, wrapped up in her turtle towel
Love them!
The day was SO MUCH FUN. It was great to see the entire family as I've missed them dearly. It ended with a tiny little rain storm and a beautiful rainbow after.
Beautiful peace.
Ain't she a beaut, Clark?!
I go so SLOW when I drive the boat. Seriously. Someone could probably pass us while swimming.
A father and his son.
Matt on the tube:
