Whelp -- Its almost been A MONTH since I posted last. I swear - I try to convince myself that I will write everyday, I "commit" to it, and then what happens----??

I go almost a month without logging on.

Like life as usual, time flies.

In the past month we've:

Celebrated Father's Day
Set up our pretty patio
Went to Chelsea and Josh's wedding
Went to Carmy and Matt's wedding
Became members at our church
Signed up to SPONSOR BEAUTY

Details:

Father's Day- 

The day before father's day, Matt and I were able to go down to Edgerton (on the boat) and spend the day with his Mom, Dad, Aunt, and Uncle. As always, we had a great time on the boat and were able to get a nice dinner with them after.

Sunday - we headed to Rockford and visited my dad for Father's Day. He cooked ribs and a special Vegan meal for Matt and I. It was awesome!

Lulu and Ernie let Matt know that they loved him by getting him a sweet card and a special gift.

We're Members at Church!

We are officially members at First Presbyterian Church in Waunakee!!

We've been attending almost every Sunday since September

and the Sunday after Chel's wedding, we sat through the three hour course to become members

The Sunday after Carmy's wedding, we were joined by the Elders.

Isn't she such an angel?!?!?

No -- she is not OURS. We sponsor her. But we love her dearly.

And we are SO PROUD to be her sponsors.

Details: She is five years old. She lives in Ghana - Potter's Village Orphanage in Dodowa to be specific. She loves to sing and wants to be a doctor when she grows up.

Her Dad died before she was born, and her Mom died from childbirth.

We sponsor her through All God's Children International.

We've emailed with people from the Orphanage and have learned we will be getting a letter and updates from her. YAY! They also said:

"Your sponsorship helps provide comprehensive care to Beauty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  We desire to see these children cared for in an all-encompassing way.  This care includes three nutritious meals a day, a safe environment and shelter, medical attention when needed, caring and nurturing staff, and education.

"I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you."

John 14:18

It was one of our most proudest moments and we highly recommend it to anyone to can do it.

And yes - I've already asked if she was adoptable.
