Saturday night, we had some friends over (SO MUCH FUN!) and the puppies were able to make their debut. We, of course, were very excited to show them off and wanted them looking and smelling their best. So we decided to give them a quick bath before everyone arrived (we didn't want them smelling like their usual puppy/poopy smell!)
Enjoy the bathtime pics!
He looks so thrilled, doesn't he?
That face.
Afterwards they smelled like fresh, clean wet dogs.
THE GOOD NEWS is that they were a huge hit!!! And (EVEN BETTER) they slept the entire
time and acted like angels!!! They sure fooled them..........
Really, they're just pure evil.
Kidding!
(being Halloween season and all).
Speaking of - I am loving these Fall colors.
And the Salted Caramel Mochas.
Wally has different color eyes (a common trait of Australian Shepherds).
The bigger the boys get, the more curious we are about their breed. The fact that they're brothers is shocking enough (Pappy is SO MUCH bigger and they look completely different). BUT also that Wally looks like an Australian Shepherd/lab mix and Pappy looks like a rott/doberman/german shepherd mix. The president of Adopt Me Rescue (where we adopted Pap and Wal) said that a female dog can get pregnant from two males in one cycle - so its very likely that Pappy and Wally could have different Daddies. She ALSO said her family had a DNA test done for one of their rescues, and that they were able to figure out all of the different breeds the dog was. Parents, Grandparents and so on....
SO FREAKIN COOL.
So -- what are Pappy and Wally getting for Christmas?!
DNA TESTS!!!

DNA TESTS!!!
And we're totally going to get the results like expecting parents finding out their baby's gender. You know, how they put the answer in an envelope and then read it together on some special occasion....?
So here's what we're doing to do: Order the DNA tests, scrape the insides of their mouths with a Q-tip like thing, and send it in for testing. A few weeks later, the results are emailed in this huge informational packet saying their breeds, how big they'll get, etc. So - we'll print off the packet attachment, NOT READ IT, wrap it up, and open it on Christmas! SOOOOO FUN!
(Yes, I'm a nerd).
Lulu is getting more courageous with the dogs.
Sometimes she still likes to hide.
Wally has a sensitive tummy. I've already called the emergency vet care in a worry (LIKE A FIRST TIME PUPPY MOM) because he had diarrhea and I was scared he had PARVO -- Anxiety much? What we really think is that his Puppy Chow wasn't agreeing with him. So OF COURSE we bought him some designer, high end (EXPENSIVE AS SHIT) dog food that's gluten free and made with purified water. AND WHADDYA KNOW???
He's back to normal.
I've adjusted to complete CHAOS going on while cooking....
And this is going on at our house right meow. YAY!! New appliances!!!!!
We still can't decide on a backsplash. First, we thought this.
Then thought it'd be too dark. How about this??
Thoughts?
Oh, and the best part -- because the backsplash area is a HALF inch bigger than normal, Home Depot can't install it. So, who's going to?
Ummm, Us.
Yikes. Wish us luck.
