"Um, you have puppy poop on your shirt and pants"

Thats how my morning started. at 3:24 AM, nonetheless.

Puppy tummy aches  = diarrhea = a huge mess in the crate for Jaclyn to clean up = poop on my clothes!

The things I do for my babies.

And thats not even the worst of it.

I went grocery shopping yesterday and bought -------- wait for it -------- CHICKEN.

AH! I walked down the cheese aisle, through the beef aisle, to the poultry section thinking nothing else but:

This is the aisle of death.

Cue: Eyes rolls from all of you.

Its SORT of funny though, right?! But in all reality and to be completely honest, I was so so so so grossed out.

I HAD A MORAL DELIMMA YA'LL!

Realistically speaking, I buy turkey, chicken, salmon, and tuna canned food for Lulu every day -- so it really shouldn't be THAT big of a difference BUT Pappy and Wally had such upset stomachs from their puppy meds that I decided to make them chicken and rice in chicken broth with a dallop of pureed pumpkin (natural diarrhea cure for pups!)

Oh, it was awful. I felt HORRIBLE buying it. Like I was stabbing all the vegan-ites in the back, but I had to do it for my babies!!! Anywho, after I bought the frozen chicken breasts, I sat in self loathing the entire way home, threw the bag of chicken in the freezer, and forgot about it.

Truthfully, I chickened out on making the chicken (HA! Pun intended).  I just couldn't bring myself to do it. Until this morning at 3:24 am, when Matt and I woke up to Pappy and Wally crying and seeing that they had shit ALL over their crate and the big, gross, poopy, watery mess. Ew, sorry.

So I cleaned it all up. Got puppy poo on my clothes. AND stayed up all night slaving over a hot stove and oven (being an CHICKEN MURDERER) making my puppies a homemade meal.

Also (its been at least 8 months), I forgot how long to bake chicken for, and at what temp, and didn't have a meat thermometer. I didn't want the babies to get more sick, so I cooked it for 30 minutes to make sure it was done. CHARRED more like it. On the upside, Pap and Wal seem to be feeling better.

Well, that was until they decided to eat wood chips in the backyard and puke it all up in the kitchen.

On top of that, Pappy thinks my brand new curtains in the dining room are the coolest chew toy ever.

They are lucky they're cute.
