We are officially an all organic eating family. This week, while grocery shopping, Matt nearly had a panic attack by looking at the prices of the organic food that I was placing in our cart. I just ignored his anxiety. By the way, I HATE GROCERY SHOPPING. The people. The searching for different ingredients. Standing in line. Checking out..... Although, this week ended in a pleasant surprise in that the total bill WASN'T THAT BAD!
We were expecting much worse. Matt was relieved.
Also, I really want to buy this book.
Unfortunately, after my organic food and essential oil shopping sprees - Matt wouldn't allow any more nonsense. But health food co-ops are the best!! And they smell so..... hippy-rific. Mmmmmm

We've been feeding the pups "Taste of the Wild" ever since we brought them home- Its this super high end, grain free, "made with only purified water" dog food that costs us more than our health insurance does a month! But it's totally worth. And we finally gave in and started feeding the kitties healthy, too.
Yay for Blue Buffalo! Too bad Lulu doesn't like it!!!! SPOILED!
What cat rejects two dollar canned food?!?

We're about a week away from Pappy learning how to push the ice dispenser button.
Lord help us.
JUICING EXTRAVAGANZA!
If you remember, we recently purchased The Magic Bullet.
Our Plan: Make juice smoothies every single morning that are PACKED with super foods and TONS of veggies.

Like I said in my previous post, Matt and I have been watching documentaries all week. We love documentaries. Typically, we will stick to the subject of health and food, but at times, (when we're feeling adventurous) we'll go out of the ordinary and watch something like "Titantic's Untold Mystery"
99% of the time, though, it's about healthy eating.
There are SO MANY things that people don't know about their food: where is comes from, what chemicals are in it, what those chemicals could do your body, how CROOKED and CORRUPT the government is regarding "safe" food, etc. etc. etc.
And it breaks my heart even more that, most likely, 90% of you don't know the truth about the food industry, either. I wish I could come have a conversation with each and every one of you. I wish I could sit you down, and read you studies, and make you watch these documentaries with me. I wish you all knew how really bad and awful it really is.
How its not just about the animals and our health -- but also, how the waste and toxins from factory farming is one of the largest pollutants in the world and if we, instead, took all the food we were feeding livestock and gave it to orphans--- there would be no starving children.
I would love to tell you how going to an all organic, plant based diet can save:
Your Health
Global Warming
Orphans
Immigration Workers Rights
Farmers
Bees
Animal Rights
Bees
Animal Rights
And more and more and more...
But I
know a tiny fraction of everything there is to know. And that tiny
fraction makes me so angry and so worried for our future and this world. And I wish, no, I pray my families and friends understood this, too.
One week of documentaries could change your entire perspective and life.....
I challenge you.
