I know you were all desperately hoping to see the "before" pictures, read our beginning weights, and hear all about how we rocked the first two workouts of p90x3.
But unfortunately, that's not going to happen.
Extenuating circumstances (like not owning any workout shoes) prevented us from starting on Monday night.
So instead, I watched The Bachelor, drank wine, and parented our two very naughty puppies from the couch. A close second to a "being active"
Not every day you see a dog walking on a table, huh?
They have learned to open the Lazy Susan, which means we need to CHLID PROOF our house ASAP.
And they're getting too tall. I swear, you'd think he was starved.
Back to working out --
FEAR NOT, my friends, -- tonight is the night we start! Which means [if we survive] in 90 days - Matt and I will be skinny, and healthy, and RIPPED!
............maybe
Last night, we went to this fancy running store where we told them all about our Iron Man aspirations and fitness goals. They took all these measurements of our feet, watched us walk around, and recommended a handful of shoes that they thought would be best for the each of us. We tested out each pair, and compared them to our previous favorite.... so on........ and so forth.......
Ultimately, we both ended up picking the exact same pair!
I saw this sign hanging at work the other day, and decided that it was a sign. I mean, yes its a real SIGN and all, but also hypothetically .... I mean -- IT'S A SIGN.
Matt and I have dreamed of learning how to run, being in triathlons, and getting into shape for so long. Its about damn time.
Our puppies are going to be so happy - and I can't wait to take them long runs in the Spring time. Mostly for selfish reasons..... (I want them to be as worn out as possible.... like, all the time).
Our new daily routine is as follows:
Wake up at 4:30 AM -- Ay yi yi
Walk the puppies
Make coffee
Make our smoothies
Get ready for work
Go to work
Come home
Feed the zoo
p90x3
Eat dinner
TV/rest&relaxation
Walk the puppies
Get ready for bed
Go to sleep at 10 PM
Gosh, don't we sound SO old?! And eventually we want to change "walk the dogs" to "RUNNING with the dogs". It would help tremendously in keeping us sane.
A couple nights ago, the boys were SO wired and SO crazy that they were running around the house like BONKERS. Wally and Pappy both slid into the fridge with a loud BANG then turned the corner and hit the end table in our dining room (BOOM!) almost knocking the candle off the top of it. Then, they ran down the stairs (jumping from the 5th stair up to the floor below them) Ran around the living room, on the couch, on the recliner, jumped ON the COFFEE TABLE and made it tip over (CRASH!).
All in a matter of two seconds. Seriously at lightning bolt speed.
Why can't we have that kind of energy?
Lord knows we'll need it tonight when we work out with this creep.
