My new favorite shirt. Vegan puns are FUN!
Everyone in the Fennel household has committed to a healthier 2015. Being sanitary is NOT one of them.
Lulu has promised she will try to stop being such a bitch grumpy cat
Which is doubtful
But she has warmed up (a little bit) to her puppy brothers, so we'll take that for now.
And I'm certain she will be so much nicer when we can buy wine for her.
Did you hear about Japan's new wine exclusively made for cats!?? Read all about it here!
Once its available in the states, we're totally getting our paws on it. My girls know how it is....
Ernie is officially on a diet.
He is unenthused.
Matt and I bought this:: So, we can drink fresh Kale and Chia smoothies every single morning.
YUMMMMM <--- sarcasm
And this arrived in the mail today
So we can work out with this asshole every single night.
It finally warmed up. We could all go for a walk
We've got our hands full.
We had to skip Puppy Classes AGAIN on Saturday because Wally had an upset tummy. We've missed more classes than we've attended! And I've had enough with scheduling makeups.
I'VE TOTALLY BECOME A MAKE UP MOM!!!!
Way
back in November, we signed up for puppy classes in Madison (about a
thirty minute drive away) because we missed the cut off date for Puppy
Classes in Edgerton. I refused to put them in the beginner
classes locally because it was filled with ADULT dogs, and I wanted the
boys to get their socialization and be around pups the same age. So, we
committed to driving them to Madison every single Saturday morning.
Little did we know......
Pappy HATES car rides.
And
Tender-Tummy Wally ALWAYS gets into something that he shouldn't get
in to-- THEN gets diarrhea because of it. Imagine trying to clean
THAT up in the car. No, thank you!
The obvious cop-out answer: Not going.
Our puppies are "Puppy School Drop Outs"
SING IT!
I would've totally put my money on the fact that Pappy and Wally are in this puppy age group:
And I would have lost. In all reality, they are here: (seems pretty accurate)--
Dropping out is NOT an option.
Wally has been SO naughty lately!
He's going to give Marley a run for his money.
"life and love with the world's worst dog"
By the way - I can't bring myself to read this book..... The MOVIE practically put me in a two week depression. And NOW as a Puppy Mommy and THE BOOK (which is always better)........ It's going to be a HUGE cry fest when I eventually do.

Even WORSE!!!!!
Puppy
School Graduation day is on Saturday, January 31st - which also happens
to be the EXACT same day and time that I start working at Little Gym
again!
I'm going to try to talk to their instructor on Saturday to see if we can attend another graduation that week.
Bad Puppy Parents
Sad Puppies
But - Don't worry!! We have a plan!
Following puppy school graduation at the end of January, we will be enrolling them in the Beginner class in Edgerton. Technically, they would be "ready" for intermediate. But we're choosing to hold them back. They could use some extra guidance.....
Following the Dogs 101 class, they can go into Advanced -- and FINISH with Agility!!!

Wally was ready for agility, like yesterday. (See video below. You have to be reading from a computer, though -- And who does that anymore?!)
This sounds so horrible, but I can't even IMAGINE what it will be like to have TWO house broken and well trained dogs. I JUST CAN'T WAIT!
Until then -- (Another video)
And by the way, when I say Wally has been eating everything, I mean EVERYTHING:

And by the way, when I say Wally has been eating everything, I mean EVERYTHING:
- Coffee
- Wood
- Wine
- Rocks
- Whisky
- POOP!
- Beer
- Dust piles (after I sweep)
- Ernie's butt
- Martinis
- the garbage
- Poisonous mushrooms (we all remember that, don't we??)
- Coconut Oil
HE WALKS ON MY KITCHEN TABLE!!!
It's like we have 2yr. old twin boys.
Back to being HEALTHY ---
We are 100% VEGAN AGAIN! Yay!
Pappy is excited, too.
For the past week or so, Matt and I have been watching only documentaries. We figured it'd be a good idea to re-watch everything that opened our eyes to a plant based diet in the first place. In addition to our old favorites, we've added a few new favorites to the list. This time, focusing more on eating organic--
Seeds of Death - (on YouTube) an incredibly interesting (and scary) documentary on GMOs and what we've been putting in our bodies WITHOUT EVEN KNOWING
-and-
GMO OMG - (On Netflix) a Dad's journey to finding out the truth of what he's feeding his kids. Also very interesting and quite terrifying.
I plan on reading this soon:
Upton Sinclair's The Jungle
The world famous book on slaughter houses. Yikes....
And I also plan to buy ALL ORGANIC.
AKA - we are going to be POOR. We'll have old, ratty, out of fashion clothes, we'll never be able to afford to go out or do anything, and we'll be living off the envelope system until the day we die. BUT IT'S ALL WORTH IT because that shit is SO GROSS. I beg you, please look into this if you haven't already.
Speaking of the envelope system: We've done GREAT so far!! Life is much different living off of just cash, having a limit for everything, and NOT just randomly swiping our debit card. It takes some practice and getting used to, but so far -- so good. AND we have officially DECLARED WAR on ALL of our debt. We're saving more. Paying off more. and we CAN'T WAIT to kick our credit cards and student loans to the curb.
SEE YA!!!!!!
A huge thanks to Pappy's and Wally's pup sitter for getting them their awesome Christmas gifts.
They LOVE them.
Lastly, (you thought this post would never end, huh??) WE FOUND OUR NEW CHURCH!! When we lived in Waunakee, we became members of First Presbyterian Church which was right in town, HUGE, and MASSIVE, and just SO WONDERFUL.
Since we moved to Edgerton, we've been church hunting, but never got the same feeling we had with our old church. Until THIS PAST SUNDAY.
And it all started with a bag of peanuts from Grandma.
Congregational United Church of Christ is SO quiant and adorably charming. A downtown historic church (that's 2 minutes from our house)! A circular sanctuary with stained glass windows, and a church bell (that they actually ring to begin the service)!! Everyone knows everyone by their first name, they have an awesome pastor, and everyone was SOOO NICE and welcoming. We're going to be very happy there. I just know it!
And it just so happens that we ran into our realtor (the one person we know in Edgerton besides family) before service. Small town living. I love it!
This weeks tongue twister: Say it 3x fast!!
Poopy Pappy the Poodle Propped on a Pretty Purple Pillow
Happy almost Friday
