For starters, work was crazy busy this week, which made me crazy exhausted. We were also OUT until 11pm on Wednesday, which is like UNHEARD of, and I've been busy addressing our Christmas cards. By that, I mean I've done five...
SO MUCH HAS HAPPENED THIS WEEK.
Going back to thanksgiving.
It was wonderful. We went over to Aunt Vicki and Uncle Stan's. They're such great hosts. Yummy food, and fun flavored shots. This year, we had bailey's and pudding shots from a syringe. Sound weird? They were amazeballs.
Matt and Tom talked retirement (like always)
And we ate our "vegetarian" style Thanksgiving meal
I'm sad to say that Matt and I have increasingly become more vegetarians as opposed to vegans. If fact, we signed up for a meal planning service a few weeks ago (e-meals) that only had vegetarian options. Did that stop me? No. I HATE MEAL PLANNING.
I'm so disappointed in myself. But at the same time, I'm also so enjoying the cheese, butter, and creamy foods.... Sigh. I still try to cook vegan as much as possible, but our openness to "just eat vegetarian" has drastically increased. What's a girl to do?
After Thanksgiving, we came home and visited with the babes. Took a nap. Then prepared for Black Friday.
Of course not. Matt made up for it the next day, though, by taking me to Frugal Bookstore to do some Christmas shopping for me.
Before we headed to Madison that morning, we took the chance of NOT crating the boys, and just letting them roam their bedroom (yes, they have a bedroom). They were tired, and we figured we'd only be gone for a short while.
I mean, what harm could they do in one little room?? Puppy Mom Fail #9384732495
That's my childhood BIBLE. Does this mean they're the devil?
On top of that! That night while eating dinner, Pappy and Lulu joined us.
Ernie was sleeping downstairs and Wally was------- Wait - "Where's Wally??"
Puppy Mom Fail #984793284032
Poop stained footprints.
And they're only getting bigger.
Their doctor said that a skin infection for puppies in like acne for teenagers. Pretty common but still a nuisance. And an all natural oatmeal and aloe shampoo should help. I swear these dogs get better quality food and hair products than we do. #spoiled
Like I said, work was crazy busy this week. As an added bonus and a special thank you, my boss and our company's CEO gave us Wisconsin vs Duke tickets for Wednesday's game. Second row.
Matt was thrilled to be cheering on the Badgers
Every seat in at the Kohl Center was taken. Afterwards, we heard that the cheapest ticket for the game was $120. It was our first Badgers basketball game and the BEST one we could have ever gone to (IN THE SECOND ROW!!) What an awesome opportunity. Thanks Jack and Jim!
ON WISCONSIN!
Ernie has finally found a place where he can look out the window and still be out of harms/the dogs' way.
In order to regain Lulu's love and trust, (like awesome cat parents) we've supplied her with a daily dose of catnip.
She has officially become a junkie and we're considering growing our own supply to cut down on the "middle man costs"
Stoner.
But in all seriousness, there is finally PEACE at the Fennel Zoo. Ernie, Lulu, Pappy, and Wally (mostly) live in harmony.
Right before I sat down to write this post, I yelled, "BOYS! NO!! STOP EATING THE HOUSE!!!!" See the chew marks???
